March 2024 PNG Kundu out now!

By now PNGAA members would have received the March 2024 issue of PNG Kundu – and we hope you’re enjoying the many diverse articles and other info it includes (we gets many lovely comments which are wonderful to see, and always enjoy feedback, so do let us know!) PNGAA’s huge, HUGE thanks and grateful appreciation goes to John Egerton, who has edited the last 14 issues and has now stepped back. His efforts to ensure it is a widely read international journal have been enormously successful. Together with PNGAA’s amazing Designer and producer, Jeannette Gilligan, they have both put time, expertise, humour and passion in to continue to grow the journal in their special way and show the world the significance of the association. We love hearing how PNG Kundu is regularly passed around too!

And with the March 2024 journal we warmly welcome our new editor, Christine Leonard. Chris was born in Rabaul, growing up in New Britain and Bougainville. A large part of her working life was in community development and international aid projects, with a special focus on PNG and the Pacific. Read more in the journal!

We look forward to you sending your anecdotes, stories etc in to Christine and the journal continuing with both a contemporary and historical flavour, significant to our two countries.
Chris and Jeannette are part of a broader and active team of volunteers in this unique association who form the PNGAA Management Committee.

Currently we urgently need a Sydney (or surrounds) based Events Coordinator. C’mon! We know there are many out there who love a gathering! Gatherings are part of our ‘being’. If you feel you can support our association and manage at least two gatherings a year, advertising them within our network, please chat with us! Email events@pngaa.net with your name and phone number and we can ring you back!
