Kevin Lock did the second E Course (Teacher training) at Rabaul in 1961 and was posted to Arehava Primary School in the Gulf District and later at Madang Technical College. He left PNG in late 1964 returning in 1970 (now married with one daughter) to manage the Bainyik Vocational Centre in the East Sepik and later the Popondetta Vocational Centre. He left PNG in 1975.

These DC3's, wrapped in fabric, were on their way to Dutch New Guinea during the early days of the Indonesian/Dutch conflict - don't know whu they just didn't fly them in.

The Catalina flying boat was the weekly "in" and "out" to kerema and kikori. At Kikori the crew had to fend off logs coming downstream whilst at the mooring.
