PNGAA Gathering! Special Panel Event, Newcastle, NSW – 6 July 2019

Come along with family, friends or on your own to this inaugural PNGAA event in Newcastle, NSW. We all have a story to tell, and we love hearing about other peoples experiences – so this day will be a combination of mingling and hearing three stimulating speakers which will refresh memories as well as remind us of the close history we still share. Jan is an historian at the University, who has a personal connection to the 2/4th Australian Field Ambulance in the Papuan Campaign of WW 2, presents her years of research in her book “SHADOWS ON THE TRACK”.
Mark will speak on the topic, “KIAP TO KUSKUS” Mark first went to PNG in 1959 working in various areas. Post Independence as Secretary to the National Executive Council.
Suellen will talk to her book “BLACK SAND AND BETEL NUT-CHILDHOOD MEMORIES OF PNG”
Her Collection of short stories recall the halcyon days of her childhood and she pays tribute to the place he will always call home.
